The 2024 Presidential Fellows Scholarship for International Students at Miami University in the USA offers enriching and profound educational opportunities. If you maintain a yearly cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, this scholarship program will fully cover your tuition and fees for eight fall/spring semesters. These fees encompass all instructional costs, non-resident surcharges, basic general fees, career development fees, and course-related expenses that may be incurred during your academic journey.

In order to be eligible for consideration, please submit your online application to Miami University by December 1st, before the clock strikes 11:59 p.m., and be sure to express your interest in Miamis Honors College. Finalists for the Presidential Fellows Program (PFP) will receive notifications in the month of January.

Which of my bills are covered by the Miami Presidential
The Presidential Fellows Program scholarship covers tuition and fees for eight fall and spring semesters, provided you maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50. Tuition and fees include instructional fees, non-resident surcharges, basic general fees, career development fees, and course fees.
The scholarship does not cover winter or summer semesters, study abroad fees, university contract confirmation deposits, health insurance, health center fees, pharmacy charges, orientation fees, pre-enrollment or pre-admission testing fees, books, computers, supplies, or other necessities. It also does not cover optional expenses such as MUlaa accounts, parking permits, parking fines, library fines, air conditioner rentals, and cell phone charges.

Does the scholarship cover my accommodation and feeding?
Presidential Fellows receive a food scholarship that covers the Diplomat Standard meal plan. This plan includes 16 buffet meals per week, $500 in declining balance dollars, five guest buffet meals each semester, and a bonus week of buffet meals that can be used at any time during the semester.
The meal plan covers only food items or meals for yourself. It does not cover non-food items or food/meals purchased for others. You may choose a different meal plan, but you will be responsible for the additional cost.
Presidential Fellows also receive room expenses up to the cost of a traditional double occupancy room in a residence hall for eight semesters. Presidential Fellows are guaranteed a room in the Honors Residential College. Miami University provides refrigerators in each room on campus at no additional cost. You may choose a different room type, but you will be responsible for the additional cost.
Do I receive food and housing allocation if i live off campus?
Miami University students are expected to reside on campus for their initial two years of study. However, if you elect to live off-campus during your third or fourth year, you will be eligible for a scholarship that covers housing and food expenses up to the allowable costs (traditional double occupancy room and Diplomat Standard meal plan). To receive scholarship coverage for food expenses, you must still purchase a University meal plan, even if you reside off-campus.
Can i apply for Miami Presidential scholarship program to study abroad ?
The Presidential Fellows Scholarship can be applied toward a fall or spring semester in selected study abroad programs including Luxembourg, faculty-led, co-sponsored, or exchange programs that are billed through Miami University. The scholarship funds can be used to cover billed tuition, fees, housing, and food, except for specific programs where housing and food are not invoiced by Miami. This scholarship can be utilized for only one semester abroad, with a specific program offering a year-long option as the sole exception.
