During the 300th Official Assembly of the Lagos State University Senate on Thursday, July 27, 2023, the proposal put forth by Vice Chancellor Prof. Ibiyemi OLATUNJI-BELLO, mni, NPOM, concerning the scholarship program initiated by the Lagos State University Alumni Association (UK Branch), was thoroughly examined and subsequently endorsed.

The Lagos State University UK Scholarship Programme, a Scholarship Scheme introduced by the Alumni Association (UK Branch), aims to:

i. Provide assistance to fifty (50) fortunate University students who are facing difficulties in covering their tuition fees.

ii. Alleviate the financial burden arising from students inability to afford tuition fees. This initiative not only promotes the academic progress of these beneficiaries but also aligns with the fifth strategic objective of the Vice Chancellor, aimed at improving student well-being and contributing to their cherished alma mater.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING FOR LASU SCHOLARSHIP:

a. Should be a full-time undergraduate student at Lagos State University.

b. Must be in the academic range between the second year (200 level) first semester and the first semester of 500 level.

c. Must have successfully completed all the elements of the current academic year.

d. Must have maintained a minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.5.
