On Monday, 7th August 2023, the West African Examination Council (WAEC) made public the outcomes of the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination. During a press conference, Patrick Areghan, WAECs Head of National Office, announced, Among the 1,613,733 candidates who participated in the examination, the results of 262,803 candidates are under hold as a result of reported instances of examination misconduct.

Below are steps on How to check WAEC results 2023 using SMS:

1. Using your mobile device, Type WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear

2. Send to 32327

3. You will receive a message instantly containing your WAEC statement of result.

Please note, only MTN, Glo & Airtel Subscribers can actually check their WAEC Results using this SMS method.

Note: If you did not receive your WAEC result via SMS, kindly repeat this step again.

There will be a fee incurred for SMS usage while retrieving your WASSCE result via text messages.

How to check WAEC results 2023 online

To verify your WAEC Result, access www.waecdirect.org and complete the login process. Kindly take note that you might require a WAEC scratch card for verification purposes. Follow the steps outlined below to view your 2023 WAEC result.

1. Log in to the WAEC Result Checker Website, www.waecdirect.org.

2. Input your Examination Number   

3. Select Examination Type e.g May/June

4. Select Exams Year e.g 2023

5. Click on Check Result.
