Illinois Wesleyan University Scholarship, USA 2024 (Requirements, how to apply)

For international students enrolled in Illinois Wesleyans first-year entering class, the university offers need-based financial aid as well as merit scholarships. International students are those who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States.

Presidential scholarships are awarded to exceptionally qualified international students based on their talents, interests, and academic achievements; merit-based scholarships are given to eligible international applicants with exceptional academic achievement and test results on the mandatory entrance exams. 

When is the deadline for the application:

The deadline for the scholarship is 15th, February 2024.

Value & Duration of Award:

  • The merit awards are renewable for up to four years to students who complete the admissions application, and they range from $16,000 to $30,000 annually.
  • Presidential scholarships, which are granted to two highly qualified international students each year based on their talents, interests, and academic achievements, cover the entire cost of tuition.

Eligibility:

  • Be an international student 
  • Meet the English Language requirement of the university
  • Complete the admissions application before the deadline

Requirements for applying:

  • Application Form
  • Transcripts for all previous high school and/or college coursework
  • Application essay
  • Teacher Evaluation or Recommendation (for those utilizing CommonApp, the evaluation portion of the School Report will fulfill this requirement, but additional letters are welcome.)  
  • ACT /SAT scores OR Personal Interview (for test optional)
  • International students whose first or native language is not English are still required to submit either the TOEFL or IELTS.
