Imo State Government has announced the resumption of schools within the state. The declared date for schools resumption is 5th October 2020

The announcement was made by the chief press secretary to the governor,  Mr. Oguwike Nwachukwu on Thursday, October 1st.

The Secretary to the governor, Mr. Ogwuike Nwachukwu hinted that schools resumption is subject to strict COVID 19 measures and this will be headed by the Deputy Governor.

He also disclosed that schools in the state are being upgraded to an automated and digitalized platform to capture the data and enrolment of students and teachers, as well as payment of school fees amongst others.
