The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed the start of the 2024 JAMB Direct Entry Registration, a crucial gateway for individuals possessing degrees, diplomas, or A-level qualifications who aspire to enroll in university degree programs. This procedure, vital for many prospective university students, especially those seeking admission at an advanced level, necessitates a thorough grasp of the eligibility requirements, registration steps, and critical deadlines.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for Direct Entry, you must fulfill the following academic qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) credit passes at the Olevel in SSSC subjects, obtained in not more than two sittings, with at least two prescribed subjects for each program (course of study) at the Principal or Advanced level.
- Two passes [in the prescribed subjects for each (program) course of study] at the ALevel Examination awarded by IJMB, Cambridge, JUPEB, or the International Baccalaureate, along with three other credit passes in the SSCE.
- Credit passes in two major subjects in the NCE, accompanied by three other credit passes in SSSC, NTC/NBC (primarily for Education/Technical programs).
- A minimum credit grade in a University/National Diploma or National Innovation Diploma, along with the appropriate Olevel requirements. All submitted Advanced Level Qualifications will be verified by a special committee, and any fraudulent result shall lead to prosecution.

Requirements for registration:
- A unique phone number, linked to only one candidate.
- National Identification Number (NIN) Submission: Send a text message with the word NIN followed by your 11-digit NIN to either 55019 or 66019.
- Profile Code: You will receive a 10-character code on the same phone number you used for NIN submission.
- Phone Number Linking: This mobile number will be used for all communication related to your 2024 application and future applications.
- Provide Profile Code and e-PIN: Present these credentials at any JAMB accredited CBT Centre to proceed with your registration.
- Biometric and Photograph Capture: Completing the application process requires mandatory biometric and photograph capture.
- Self-Service Option: Computer-literate candidates have the option to register at JAMB offices or PRCs through a self-service process.
