Nasir El-Rufai, the Governor of Kaduna state has remarked that the different cut-off marks given to states by the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board, (JAMB) is dividing the nation. The Governor emphasized that the low Cut-off mark is given for admission into different institutions in the Northern part of the country is making northern youths lazy.

He further said that despite the advantage of education to the Northerners in Nigeria, the region still has the highest number of out-of-school children.
