The President of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Yomi Odubela, has responded to the parents complaints about the closure of public and private schools in the most states of the country, due to the #EndSars Protest. She described 

the current crisis rocking the country and especially, Lagos State as anarchy, which had led to the loss of lives and properties, and encouraged school owners, teachers, and other stakeholders to keep praying to God to restore peace and provide a solution.

On the other hand, most parents are indifferent about governments decision to shut down schools, a few weeks after resumption. Some complained that they had just paid school fees, while some school owners lamented over how they would pay their teachers due to school closure.

A parent under the aegis of Concerned Parents and Educators Network, Kenny Bamgbose, said,They must be confused; who locked schools before? Parents were stressed to pay school fees because the same government asked them to resume. They should be able to take responsibility; most of us struggled through terrible traffic to ensure our children got to boarding school.

Bamigbe Alaran replied one Rachael James that the closure was not for students to join the protest, but being safe at home, safe from stray bullets, and safe from hoodlum attacks, safe from undue exposure to violence.”

Another parent, Obinwa Esther, was more concerned about the fee and online schooling. The schools should just know that they will carry over the fees we paid. Don’t tell me you want to use it for online.

Pius Djahoto of Kingdom Heritage Model College, Abeokuta, said, What?! I just paid my children school fee o. The bank should reverse my money.”

Golden Olihi felt there were other means of quelling the protest instead of school closures. This is a useless strategy to stop the protesters. Doesn’t he know what to do to stop hoodlums from hijacking the protests? Empty leaders everywhere!

A staff of Legacy college, Olufemi Ajayi, said, That might be the best for now, we can’t expose the lives of innocent children to danger because of school.
