The Nordic Africa Institute (NAI) African Scholarship Programme for African Researchers 2024 is an excellent opportunity for early-career researchers based in Africa to work and develop their ongoing research at the NAI.
About the Programme:
- Aim: To provide opportunities for early career researchers based in Africa to work and develop their ongoing research at the NAI.

- Access to the NAIs library, which is specialized in literature on contemporary Africa and focuses on Social Sciences.
- Hosting by the Institutes researchers.
- Networking opportunities with other researchers.
- Workspace, including a desk computer, in a shared office at the Institute.
- Return air-fare (economy class).
- Accommodation.
- Subsistence allowance of 400 SEK (approx. 40 USD) per day.
- Installation grant of 2,500 SEK (approx. 250 USD).
Eligibility:
- Must be an early-career researcher based in Africa.
- Must have a PhD or be close to completion.
- Must be affiliated with a research institution in Africa.
- Must be proficient in English.
