Security Personnel earlier today arrested two robbers who snatched the phone of a student worth 88,000 Naira. The victim identified as Godwin Okoro in 100 Level Computer and a student of the University Of Calabar was robbed of his phone while going to the bank.

The alleged robbers identified as Mathias, 22, and Bassey Edet, 23, though not students of the Institution have been harassing undergraduates on campus, especially in the hostels.

The suspects upon interrogation confessed that the phone was sold for N10,000, and pleaded for forgiveness pledging that the phone will be recovered from the person it was sold to.

Reacting to the arrest, the universitys Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Florence Obi commended the security personnel for apprehending the robbers.
