Candidates are hereby informed that the 2023/2024 academic session Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) screening exercise will be held for those who chose Osun State University as their first choice or are willing to change their institution to UNIOSUN as their first choice, given that they have attained a minimum score of 160 marks. However, candidates who scored less than 200 marks will not be considered for admission into the following programs: Nursing, Medicine, Law, Common, and Islamic Law. Nevertheless, candidates who selected any of the aforementioned courses but obtained scores below the specified marks are permitted to switch to any other suitable program of their preference.
Please note, following the existing national policy, candidates who will be younger than sixteen (16) years of age as of 31st December 2023 are ineligible to apply.
COMPLETION OF APPLICATION FORMS:
Candidates are to register on-line by accessing the University website: http://www.uniosun.edu.ng or http://admissions.uniosun.edu.ng to complete and submit an application. They are expected to print two (2) copies of the application form after submission.
Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates:
Direct Entry candidates are required to complete the online form by accessing the University website at http://www.uniosun.edu.ng or http://admissions.uniosun.edu.ng. They must submit an application and familiarize themselves with the admission requirements of the university before applying for any of its programs. Additionally, they should send their Academic Transcripts to the Registrar of Osun State University no later than Friday 6th October 2023. All Direct Entry candidates, including those on UNIOSUN (IJMB, JUPEB) Programme, who wish to be considered for admission into Osun State University for the 2023/2024 academic session and have obtained a Direct Entry form from JAMB, are eligible to apply for the screening exercise.
ELIGIBILITY
UNIOSUN will only admit candidates who have obtained at least five (5) Credit Passes in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB in the relevant subjects at not more than two sittings, except for Medicine, Nursing, and Law, where candidates are required to have at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/NECO in the relevant subjects at one sitting. The University also accepts a minimum of Lower credit for Direct Entry candidates.
Candidates are expected to provide accurate and truthful details on the University Portal. UNIOSUN maintains a ZERO tolerance policy for corruption in any form. Therefore, candidates found to have uploaded falsified entry qualification results or date of birth, or JAMB Score will be automatically disqualified, and any fees paid will not be refunded. Candidates awaiting results should supply them within one week of release. Failure to participate in the screening exercise will result in the candidate not being considered for admission.
CENTRAL ADMISSION PROCESSING SYSTEM (CAPS)
The 2023/2024 Admission Exercise will be based on the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), a system designed by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) to automate the admissions process to tertiary institutions. All candidates are advised to upload their O’ Level results to the JAMB CAPS portal as a pre-condition for admission.
ACCESS TO THE REGISTRATION PORTAL
To access the UNIOSUN Post UTME Portal, visit http://admissions.uniosun.edu.ng. This will direct you to the online Application Platform. Before registering, ensure you carefully read all registration guidelines and instructions. In the unlikely event of difficulty accessing the admission portal, please wait for 30 minutes and try again or at any other convenient time. The application process will take place from Monday 7th August at 24.00 midnight to Tuesday 10th October 2023 at 12.00 noon. The University may make special arrangements to accommodate candidates who are expecting NECO SSCE results. Payments of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only for the Post UTME Screening should be made through the REMITA Web PAY Platform using your ATM Cards (Master Card, Verve Card, and REMITA enabled Cards).
