The West African Examination Council (WAEC) released result for the May-June 2023 result on Monday 7th of August 2023. The good news is that 79.81 percent of the candidates who sat for the May-June 2023 WAEC passed meaning there is no mass failure in this years exam, 8.5 percent of the candidates have various subjects withheld due to one or two misconducts.

According to the West African Examinations Council (WA E C), candidates who took this years May–June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and whose results have just been announced can now begin printing out digital copies of their certificates and statements of results until the same are sent as hard copies to their respective schools for collection three months from now.

How do I collect my WAEC Certificate?

For May-June weac candidates you are to collect the original certificate from your respective schools.

Private candidates may request their certificates. The requested certificate will be sent to the preferred WAEC office. Candidates must present a legitimate form of identification while picking up their materials at the appropriate place (the WAEC office).

2. From the menu, click on Check Status
3. On the displayed page, enter your Exam Number and your Reference Number.
4. Click on the Check Status button.

Now is your Certificate is ready to be collected the next step is for you to make payment. This can be done online or offline as stated below.

The payment option available on the portal is card payment.

1. From the menu, click on Check Status
2. On the displayed page, enter your Exam Number and your Reference Number, then click on the Check Status button.
3. On the Check Status page, click Make Payment at the bottom of the page.
4. On the displayed page, provide your payment details and follow the prompts.
5. After successful payment, you will receive a mail confirming payment.

Offline payment:

The amount varies from year to year. You will be told the amount at the WAEC office which is dependent on the year you wrote your WAEC. Provide the information below at the WAEC offic

1. Exam number
2. Exam type/diet
3. Exam year
4. A valid means of Identification e.g:ID Card

Visit your most preferred pick-up Location selected when making requisition to collect your Certificate. NB: The Certificate would be made available ten (10) working days after confirmation of Payment.
