WIPO/Africa University Masters In Intellectual Property Scholarships 2024

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Africa University are offering scholarships for a Masters degree program in Intellectual Property (MIP) in 2024. This program is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to the development of intellectual property (IP) in Africa.

Eligibility:

  • Be a national of an African country
  • Hold a Bachelors degree (second lower class) from a recognized university in any discipline
  • Be fluent in English
  • Have passed the WIPO DL 101 free course (https://www.wipo.int/academy/en/)

Scholarship benefits:

  • Covers travel, tuition, registration fees, medical insurance, and board and lodging during the residential learning phase

Program structure:

  • May to July 2024: Distance learning phase through the WIPO Academy e-Learning Center, concluding with a final exam.
  • August to December 2024: Residential phase in Mutare, Zimbabwe, including a two-week practical training at ARIPO Headquarters in Harare, Zimbabwe.
  • December 2024 to April 2025: Completion and submission of a dissertation.
